Do they work for recruitment?

In a word, yes. Why? Like it or not we’re moving to an ‘influence economy’. Already prolific in the consumer world (how often have you left a ‘rating’ to indicate your satisfaction with this, or that?), social media’s now rife in the world of recruitment.

Companies that live up to their hype (think employer brand), are getting the best talent, those that aren’t – are losing out. And the ones that are using social media are doing their employer brand no end of good.

The simple truth is as a savvy recruiter, you need to harness everything you can to attract, recruit and retain good people. And social media works on every level.

Done properly, social media is a cost effective, time efficient (if you get it right from the start), measurable media that can increase quality applicants and conversions to hire.
