Hire Strategies launch UK first: HR social network

Talent Cloud creator - Peter Gold of Hire Strategies - explains the motives behind Talent Cloud.
"Social networks have taken the World by storm and now they are starting to become an integral part of internal communications and employee engagement programmes. Organisations such as Vodafone, BT and McDonalds are just some of the UK leaders in corporate social networking but they won't be the last. As HR will often be the people tasked with making a success of internal social media projects, we felt it was vital for them to be able to demonstrate their strategic value in this area; hence we created Talent Cloud to give them first hand experience of how to use social networking for business."
"At Talent Cloud you can network with people in the same industry - discussing the issues of the day, debating trends and developments in all aspects of HR, even which suppliers actually deliver!"
"It's a friendly site, especially for people who aren't already using a social networking site, such as Facebook. The Talent Cloud site is clear and easy to use without the "noise" you often find on "busy-looking" websites".
"Talent Cloud has been "live" for a few months and has several hundred members. We wanted to get the style and functionality just right before we "went public" and encouraged people to join us. We are keen to provide a useful site that users will want to engage with, and share their experiences and thoughts time and time again".
"I'm also aware that social networking sites have been predominantly the domain of the sub-30 year olds, and by launching Talent Cloud we're possibly bringing the idea of social networking to a new audience - an audience which may then realise the importance of social networking as an integrated part of a company's HR strategy".
